Girls and Boys by MB Feeney - Review

Girls and Boys

Girls and Boys by MB Feeney
A solid ☆☆☆☆
First off, it was the cover that drew me in, and then I read the synopsis. I read the words ‘90’s Brit Pop’ and I just knew I had to read it.
You’re on a journey with these characters from the get go and the story focuses around Jack and Andy and their friendship. Both are unique in their own right, but it’s Jack that stood out as the main protagonist. #TeamJack
I loved almost everything about this read. I loved the dialogue, the witty banter between the boys and I loved Feeney’s ability to weave a sentence so intelligently.
I loved the female characters; Nina and Ruth both could’ve been me growing up in the 90’s, and I really related to them.
The only negative thing I have to say about this book, is the fact that I needed more information about their backgrounds, and would’ve loved a more emotional connection between all the characters.
This did not deter me from wanting to read more of this great writers books in the future.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
